ABOUT ELISSA

Elissa (Elise) Hines Reimer has been a family law mediator since 2019.

She holds a B.Sc. in Health Studies & Gerontology from the University of Waterloo (1999) and an LL.B. from the University of Ottawa (2009). In 2011, she was called to the Bar. Her professional background includes a decade of health research policy and administration in Ottawa, nearly 7 years of practicing international criminal law in The Hague and four years as a Crown prosecutor in Ontario. She is fully trained family law mediator with specialized education in conflict resolution, collaborative divorce and trauma-informed approaches.

Elissa is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and an Associate Member of the Ontario Association of Family Mediators (OAFM).

Elissa lives in Waterloo with her daughter and their dog Lola. She enjoys gardening, reading and all things outdoors.
